For those of you who are new to the program or who would like a refresher, this page serves to educate and inform.

We are picking up mostly smaller to midsize things from the beach so they don’t wash out to sea.

You don’t have to use gloves but you can if you want to. And if you don’t use gloves remember to always wash or sanitize after you directly touch any trash/discarded items.

Grabbers can be helpful if you have access to one. Dollar Store used to have them but recently, they have not been available

Some people use a regular plastic bag, reusable bag, or their own 5-gallon or small bucket to hold debris collected.

Small items such as: cigarette butts, register receipts, peanut shells, fruit rinds, pieces of plastic, wrappers, plastic cups, plastic bottles, little pieces of colored plastic, children’s toys, discarded shoes, shirts, masks, balloons, string, wire, etc.
